Quite frankly, at this point, I don't care.

Most Islander fans should feel used by Nassau County and there are three other options where the Islanders could move and stay in the region, keeping the franchise, name, and identity intact.

Queens would be my choice because of the infrastructure (road and rail) and the possible creation of a real "complex" along with Citi Field and the USTA Tennis Center. Willets Point should be a yearlong destination point, maybe the Queens version of the Lighthouse Project.

But, I'm biased. I live in Jersey.gstatmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702544215244215284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893414226769963154.post-76713603027231590382011-08-02T15:11:24.839-04:002011-08-02T15:11:24.839-04:00It's quite troublesome that the referendum was...It's quite troublesome that the referendum was voted down. Like you said, it's clear that Nassau County no longer wants the Islanders. It's like Charles Wang and the organization being someone clinging on to an old flame that just can't take a hint. It's time to move onto bigger and better places such as Queens. Build a venue in the Flushing Meadows area next to Citi Field where it's much closer to the city, mass transit, and certainly more fans. It's a shame they have to leave their legacy in Nassau County behind, but such is the case.Willsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893414226769963154.post-66984494821531626732011-05-11T10:40:13.091-04:002011-05-11T10:40:13.091-04:00Thanks for reading, mlb picks! Otherwise, Yankee Stadium was in line to host the game this year.

There is a long list of teams that want in on this game and no one west of Chicago or south of Washington has played in the Classic. Rangers-Flyers would be fun and I would want a NY-area rival, but I doubt either would happen.gstatmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702544215244215284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893414226769963154.post-43708587229280526192011-01-06T21:51:25.100-05:002011-01-06T21:51:25.100-05:00I agree that NYC will play host to the next outdoo...I agree that NYC will play host to the next outdoor classic, and I have to think the new Yankee Stadium will be their venue of choice - I think it leverages the Fenway experience. I dont think NJ will get enough love, nor will Citi field. With the backdrop of Yankee Stadium, my money would be on Rangers-Bruins. While I'd love to see the NHL go with a regional rivalry (against Isles/Devils), I would say the only rival with a shot is Philly.Billy Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15836217445556397030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893414226769963154.post-33760704218750388182010-08-10T09:29:57.993-04:002010-08-10T09:29:57.993-04:00I didn't think Kovy would fit well in that loc...I didn't think Kovy would fit well in that locker room either.7th Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03918374173739981835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893414226769963154.post-78869266781651543652009-05-02T22:08:00.000-04:002009-05-02T22:08:00.000-04:00I know you did, but Chicago's ride will end by Luo...I know you did, but Chicago's ride will end by Luongo's hand.gstatmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702544215244215284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893414226769963154.post-81033086514170504962009-05-01T10:40:00.000-04:002009-05-01T10:40:00.000-04:00I picked Chicago....:)I picked Chicago....:)Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10031610850527409626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893414226769963154.post-40333337747745090712008-07-15T21:10:00.000-04:002008-07-15T21:10:00.000-04:00Hey, thanks!
